As an organization, one of our primary goals is to provide ongoing education to our members. Recently a few of the owner/brokers on the board decided that it might be beneficial to have a monthly meeting specifically tailored to topics that are outside of the typical regulatory/sales/compliance topics traditionally offered by our organization for originators. We thought that branching out into nuts and bolts topics centering on operational strategies, technological issues/solutions, wholesale lender discussions, Marketing/CRM Strategies, and other directly relevant issues to our business as broker/owners would be beneficial.
The premise of these ongoing study club meetings is that they are owner only meetings, so you don't need to be worried about being solicited by any third party mortgage service companies trying to sell you something. Just some small broker shop owners getting together for a few drinks and appetizers to have an intelligent dialogue in an effort to help each other run our respective companies better.
In this meeting, Jason Kauffman (co-owner of Uptown Mortgage and 2015 CoAMP President) will give a presentation covering the following items:
WHEN: March 5th, Thursday 4:30pm-6:30pm
WHERE: The Celtic Tavern (Robert Burns Room), 1801 Blake St, Denver, CO 80202
COST: All Attendees - $15 (Broker/Owners ONLY)
INCLUDED: Two drink tickets and appetizers
NOTE: This is our first attempt at this event and we are not hosting this in an effort to make a profit. Our goal is to simply pay for the cost of the event. The presenters are unpaid volunteers. We will accept donations to CoAMP following the event for our Government Affairs committee initiatives. Specifically, the donations will be applied to the travel expense budget for the CoAMP delegates that attend our annual Legislative Walk in Washington D.C. to promote the issues specific to mortgage brokers and small mortgage broker companies with our congressman and senators. Consider donating and becoming a member of CoAMP today.
